
Florence Clifford
Florence Clifford works as the Recruitment Project Coordinator at WATSON where she assists the Search Practice in Board and Executive recruitment and client services. She is responsible for coordination of recruitment projects, ensuring consistency with WATSON’s professional standards, values and strategies.
Prior to joining WATSON, she worked in a variety of industries, most recently as a sales associate for an international fashion retailer renowned for its provision of exceptional customer service. Here, she delighted in creating quality customer experiences and developed lasting customer relationships.
Florence attained her B.Sc. at UBC with a double major in Biology and Psychology. While working towards her degree, Florence worked as Senior Research Assistant in the Emotion and Self Psychology Lab at UBC where her interest in understanding human behavior was an asset in studying the effects of leadership styles on group dynamics in collaborative work situations.
During her undergrad, Florence also worked with UBC Sororities to support the leadership development of hundreds of undergraduate women and she continues to volunteer as the Recruitment Advisor. In this role, she works to guide UBC Sororities’ undergraduate council in the best practices of governance and manages its annual recruitment drive, recognized as Canada’s largest sorority recruitment.
When not at WATSON, Florence takes advantage of the vibrant and accessible beach volleyball community in Vancouver. On a regular summer weekend, she can be found on the beaches of Spanish Banks or Kitsilano playing a game of doubles.
