Suzie Cho leads WATSON’s Academy and Learning practice. Drawing on her commitment to continuous learning and passion for developing high value programs and products, Suzie brings governance education to Canadian boardrooms. Suzie helps organizations perform better by equipping directors and management teams with the knowledge needed to add value in the boardroom. She curates meaningful content on practical governance matters and equips directors with the tools to meet the changing needs of boards.
Experienced in different ownership structures, Suzie has worked with management teams to implement strategies for growth. She has a deep understanding of the value of practical solutions for real-world challenges. In past roles she has designed performance tools and training to drive organizational excellence. She sees the positive impact good governance has on an organization’s culture, from increased engagement around the board table to efficient decision-making.
Prior to joining WATSON, Suzie spent over eleven years at Nuheat Industries a manufacturer of electric floor heating systems. As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, she led Nuheat to be the most recognizable category brand in North America and contributed to Nuheat’s platinum ranking as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies (2002-2015). More recently as a consultant, she has been working closely with both private clients and private equity portfolio companies from various industries, to lead operational strategies.
Suzie has supported a number of groups including the Minerva Foundation, municipal community associations and provincial sporting organizations. When she’s not working, she’s looking for her next foodie find, be it a new country, restaurant, or ingredient.
