Ziggy MacKenzie collaborates with WATSON Inc. on client projects related to strategic planning and organizational development and contributes to WATSON’s internal strategic projects. Part of the founding team behind WATSON’s Governance Academy, Ziggy leads the design and development of governance courses for directors and boards.
Over the past 20 years, she has worked with large and small multinational companies in the retail, banking, credit union, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, governance, mining, manufacturing and security sectors. Driven by a passion to propel organizations forward, Ziggy brings a strategic agility to her clients to help them develop, execute and sustain systems. She brings together strategic planning, design, project management, business analytics, communications and change management to ensure organizations have stronger operations and people practices than before she arrived.
Previously, Ziggy was the Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Aeroguard Group, a privately held Canadian security screening company and Vice President of Employee Experience at Indigo Books and Music, where she oversaw the communication, training and employee recognition programs for over 6000 employees across 275 stores.
Ziggy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia and the University of Freiburg, Germany. She is a past member of the International Association of Business Communicators and volunteers with the Vancouver Writers Fest and BC Adaptive Sports to guide them through their strategic planning.
