The Vehicle Sales Authority of British Columbia (VSA) is an independent regulatory agency authorized by the provincial government to administer and enforce the Motor Dealer Act and portions of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, as it relates to the sale of personal-use motor vehicles in British Columbia. Its primary responsibility is to maintain and enhance consumer protection and public confidence in the motor vehicle sales industry. A not-for-profit organization, VSA is also responsible for all aspects of the Motor Dealer Customer Compensation Fund (MDCCF), the purpose of which is to reimburse consumers for eligible financial losses.
VSA is seeking one individual to join the VSA Board and one individual to join the MDCCF Board. Attributes required of all members on both boards include commitment, character and competency. If you possess board governance expertise, automotive industry and legal experience, and are proficient with technology then we would like to hear from you.
