H.R. MacMillan Space Centre – Director, Development Search

Since 1968, the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre remains one of Vancouver’s iconic institutions. Today, the Space Centre is visited by over 145,000 people a year, who are attracted by the innovative programming, exhibits, and activities that raise public awareness of science literacy. Operating as a non-profit, the Space Centre is a community resource which brings the wonders of space to Earth, fulfilling its purpose to inspire exploration. With that, the new role of Director, Development was created as a critical function and enabler of the Space Centre’s mission, vision, and strategic direction.
Reporting to the Executive Director and working with the Board of Directors, the Director, Development will design, direct, and execute a multi-faceted fundraising program that builds communities of support and attracts high impact philanthropy to the Space Centre’s strategic priorities that leads the organization towards long-term financial sustainability. The position will appeal to an experienced and entrepreneurial fundraiser whose leadership spans broadly across strategy and operations.
