Katie Armitage helps organizations perform better by working with boards to implement strong governance practices and structures. Although Katie enjoys supporting boards in all sectors, she is WATSON's primary point of contact for not-for-profit organizations.

Katie is a lawyer and has practised law in both the private and public sectors, at one of Canada's largest national law firms and for Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General. She has also worked as a senior policy advisor in Ontario's Cabinet Office.

Katie holds an LL.B and a BA from the University of British Columbia. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Institute of Corporate Directors and the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
